Nizza Monferrato borders the following municipalities: Calamandrana, Castel Boglione, Castelnuovo Belbo, Castelnuovo Calcea, Fontanile, Incisa Scapaccino, Mombaruzzo, San Marzano Oliveto, Vaglio Serra, and Vinchio. ==Name== Nizza Monferrato is also called ''Nizza della Paglia'' - "Nizza with straw", i.e. in the countryside.
